Assistant Manager Training Program
Realizing that managers have a very hands-on job led me to consider how they may be kinetic learners, learning best through doing tasks themselves rather than reading or writing on relevant topics. This 4 week training program is designed as a first step on a manager's training journey as they move up to Assistant General Manager and General Manager eventually.
As shown, each section to be completed is grouped into topic first, then learning style. After a launch in July 2025, 3 managers have piloted this program and given helpful feedback which has been refined in the visuals shown. An accompanying written assessment is given as well which assesses their knowledge of the restaurant's operations before graduating and working on shifts solo.
