My top Clifton Strength, Arranger, means I thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where I can juggle multiple projects at once.  I bring a future-focused vision, deep empathy that connects people, a relentless drive to get things done, and an endless stream of creative ideas. Simply put—I’m always creating, problem-solving, and pushing forward. If there’s an opportunity to innovate, I’m already on it.

Below are a few key projects I am currently working on.
Restaurant Organizational Culture Upgrade Programs and Initiatives:
After coming on board with the current company I work with, I noticed and diagnosed several key issues that revolved around company culture and impressions.  While the business generally provides a healthy and positive environment for employees to work in, there were 2 restaurants (out of 6 locations) that seemed to have major culture issues.  Working alongside the Owner and Vice President, we developed strong strategies to implement immediately and work toward a more positive, mission-centered culture.  This included 3 employee recognition programs, training program refreshes, new educational and growth resources, customer service standards, and established communication/relationship pathways to enhance positive feedback loops.  This was done alongside investigation interviews that I headed up and several planning meetings with the corporate leadership team.

Designing a Top Level Training Program for General Managers:
Following the Assistant Manager and Assistant General Manager training programs, candidates looking to be promoted into a General Manager role are eligible to take the "General Manager Upgrade Training" which is a 2 week program to be added after previous trainings.  This training upgrade includes thorough curriculum, competency checks, and a written assessment, all centering on outlined learning objectives.

Transforming an ILT into an eLearning:
After designing and leading the development of the 3-day ILT version of this training, I’m now spearheading its transformation into a dynamic eLearning experience. Using Articulate Rise and Storyline, my team and I are creating 12 interactive modules, blending micro-learning, gamification, and interactivity through Storyline Blocks within Rise. With a tight timeline—kicking off on January 30, 2025, and launching by March 3, 2025—our approach prioritizes agile design and rapid iterations to ensure an engaging and effective learning experience.

Designing a High-Impact 2-Day ILT for Managers:
As the sole Instructional Designer on this project, I’m collaborating with SMEs to craft and refine the scripting for a nationwide training initiative. This new ILT will replace an existing program, cutting training time by over 50% while maintaining effectiveness. With high-stakes stakeholders, including the CEO and C-suite executives overseeing the project, every detail matters. Beyond instructional strategy, I’ve also designed a custom-branded UI that gives the training a polished, modern look—something I’m especially proud of.

ILT Training Feedback & Continuous Improvement:
Leading the research and evaluation of a nationwide 3-day ILT, my team and I are gathering training and feedback data to refine and enhance the program. Originally designed and launched by me in Fall 2024, this training has already undergone impactful improvements based on user insights. By analyzing feedback, we’ve optimized the curriculum, assessments, and eLearning components, ensuring a more effective and engaging learning experience.

Training & Mentoring New Instructional Designers:
Beyond my project leadership, I dedicate up to 20% of my time to mentoring a new Instructional Designer, guiding them through Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Adobe Creative Cloud as they enter the field. Additionally, a second teammate with a growing interest in Instructional Design has joined our projects for professional development, where I’ve taken the lead in training and coaching them. Balancing mentorship with my own workload, I’m passionate about fostering growth and strengthening our team’s expertise.

UX/UI Design for a PTSD App:
End to end design and development for an app that I wish that I had a few years ago--a PTSD calm-down app. This application is designed for iOS and Android interfaces, focused on clients diagnosed with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder or Acute Distress Disorder participating in ongoing therapy or psychiatric services but still needing additional help reducing symptoms quickly. The app is designed to reduce observed symptoms by at least 50% within 15-20 minutes of use. In my time as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I noticed a big opportunity for an app such as this one to be developed.
